EMULSION

A colloid comprise of two or more heterogeneous type of liquids at which one of the liquid hold the dispersion of the dissimilar form of liquids.

Emulsions primarily comprise of a dispersion of two liquids which are unmixable altogether. One of the liquid function as the dispersion medium, while other, might function as the distributed stage.

Hence, emulsions are colloids in which both the distributed stage and dispersion medium are liquids. Oil and the blend of water are the emulsions when are stir simultaneously. The oil forms blob and subsequently scattered all over the water.

Emulsions are functional since they permit method to convey active materials in water that is bargainous and harmless. An associated benefit of emulsions is they permit dilution of these active constituent to an optimal concentration.
