Membranes

A membrane is a solid object, like a wall or a fence, that doesn’t let anyone pass through it. The cell Membrane can be found in both Animal and Plant cells, but in Animal cells it is the outermost layer and in Plant cells it is the second outermost layer. There are basically 3 types of membranes in Biology.

Permeable Membranes

It is a membrane that lets all the particles move through it, no matter whether it is a solid, liquid, or gas. Every Molecule in the world can pass through this membrane.

Semi-Permeable Membranes

It is a membrane that lets some molecules pass through it, not all of them. It checks the property of the molecule as required in a particular cell. If all the prerequisites are available in the molecule or particle, it will let them go through it; otherwise, no.

Impermeable Membrane

This membrane type is mostly unknown, people usually don’t know about it. This type of membrane will not let any particle of any state of matter go into the particular cell, it is the opposite of the permeable membrane.
